Radio Village invites you to explore the invisible world of wireless communication using software-defined radio, amateur radio, and other RF technologies - all with affordable hardware and free tools.

Hands-On RF Exploration

This is a hands-on village where attendees can track live aircraft using ADS-B, decode APRS packet radio from local ham operators, and experiment with LoRa and IoT devices ranging from tire pressure sensors to long-range telemetry.

Live Amateur Radio Demonstrations

Live amateur radio demonstrations will get participants on the air, while guided discussions break down radio fundamentals like frequency, modulation, and signal behavior.

Welcoming to All Experience Levels

The village is welcoming to all experience levels. Newcomers can learn the basics, while experienced operators may find themselves jumping in to help others explore. Loaner equipment will be available, and attendees are encouraged to bring their own SDRs, radios, or LoRa hardware.

Note: Expect an active, collaborative space with radios, laptops, and antennas in use throughout the day, and a generally loud, energetic environment.
